This architecture project envisions a striking nightclub in Ksamil, Albania, characterized by a kinetic facade and nature-inspired interior. The design draws inspiration from the region’s coastal charm and the fluidity of water, blending modern technology with organic elements.

Exterior - Kinetic Facade:

The facade of the nightclub is a dynamic, kinetic installation. Panels of the building’s exterior are fitted with high-resolution LED screens, constantly animating with videos of the sea and water. The facade captures the essence of the Mediterranean, displaying rippling waves, underwater scenes, and sunlight glinting on the water’s surface. As the facade shifts and moves, it creates a sense of motion that mirrors the nearby Ionian Sea, engaging passersby and creating a visual landmark in Ksamil.

Interior - Natural Materials & Reflection:

  1. Stone Bar: The bar is constructed from locally sourced stone, grounding the space with a sense of permanence and connection to the natural environment. Its texture contrasts with the modern, reflective materials of the interior, offering an earthy, tactile surface.

  2. Perimeter Trees: Around the perimeter of the club, a series of live trees are planted, enhancing the organic feel of the space. These trees evoke the local Mediterranean flora, providing a natural canopy and a feeling of being in an outdoor oasis. Lighting placed among the trees creates soft shadows, contributing to an intimate and immersive atmosphere.

  3. Ceiling - Stainless Steel Water Reflection: The ceiling is designed to resemble the surface of water, made from undulating, polished stainless steel. This material reflects light and movement from the club below, simulating the way water reflects its surroundings. The mirrored ceiling shifts and changes with the lighting and activity in the space, giving visitors the feeling of being beneath a body of water, where the reflections and movements above them ripple and dance.

Atmosphere:

The overall effect is one of fluidity and immersion. The combination of the kinetic facade and the reflective interior creates a seamless connection between the inside and outside, giving the impression that the club itself is a living, breathing part of the coastal landscape.
